“They will not intimidate me. They will not stop me from doing my job.” That is what I told folks in my hometown after pleading “not guilty” to the baseless charges brought against me by the Trump administration.
This moment is a sad one for our country. We are watching an administration that is guided by cruelty do their worst to try and crush those who stand up, speak out, and hold power accountable.
This is not just about me. In fact, it is barely about me at all. It is about what this administration will do to people who proudly, vocally disagree with them.
And if they will do this to me, out in the open to make an example, just imagine what they will do in the darkness to others.
